What are Quests in LoL?

Quests in League of Legends are special in-game events that bring champion rivalries and lore to life on Summoner's Rift. These unique interactions occur when specific champions meet certain conditions during a match, offering players the opportunity to engage in thematic challenges that go beyond the standard gameplay.

Quests are triggered when predetermined conditions are met during a match. These conditions typically involve specific champion pairings on opposing teams, reaching certain levels, or achieving particular in-game milestones.  Successful completion of these quests rewards champions with powerful buffs, adding an extra layer of strategy and excitement to the game.  

New Quests in League of Legends Season 14

Golden Ratio - Hwei vs. Jhin

A newer addition to the quest roster is "Golden Ratio," which showcases the artistic rivalry between Hwei and Jhin.

• Quest Information: Each champion must first kill the other using their ultimate.
• Activation Conditions: Hwei and Jhin are on opposing teams, both at least level 12. 
• Rewards: If Jhin wins he gains 4.444 Lethality, however, if Hwei wins he earns 3.33% Magic Penetration

Fishing in the Lavander Sea - Bel'Veth vs. Jax

This quest features Bel'Veth and Jax in a struggle for control over Baron Nashor. The objective is to contribute to taking down Baron Nashor, with the victor gaining significant advantages. 

• Quest Information: Jax and Bel’Veth compete for control over Baron Nashor, and the first to secure the objective emerges victorious.
• Activation Conditions: Bel’Veth and Jax are on opposing teams, and Rift Herald is taken before Baron spawning
• Rewards: If Bel'Veth wins, she gains enhanced Void Coral drops from killing Jax. If Jax prevails, he receives stacks of "Death in Lavender," granting him bonus attack speed and additional stacks for future takedowns on Bel'Veth.

Bad Blood - Nasus vs. Renekton

This quest brings the rivalry between the Shuriman brothers Nasus and Renekton to life. Activating when.  This quest embodies the intense sibling rivalry central to Shuriman lore.

• Quest Information:  Both champions have to reach level 11 and defeat each other while their ultimate abilities are active. 
• Activation Conditions: Renekton and Nasus must be on opposing teams, level 11. 
• Rewards: The winner's ultimate is enhanced, lasting longer and increasing their size by 10%, while the loser's ultimate size is decreased by the same percentage.

Battle of Spirit and Shadow - Shen vs. Zed

The longstanding conflict between Shen and Zed is represented in this quest. 

• Quest Information: Shen must prevent Zed from killing two nearby allies, while Zed aims to eliminate two of Shen's allies before Shen can stop him.
• Activation Conditions: Shen and Zed must be on opposing teams, both level 11
• Rewards: If Shen wins, his Ki Barrier becomes 30% stronger. If Zed emerges victorious, his Contempt for the Weak passive deals an additional 2% damage based on the target's maximum health 

Future of LoL Quests
