Is Battlefield 6 Cross Platform? Everything to Know

Cross-Platform: game is released on multiple platforms like PC, console, or mobile. However, this doesn't guarantee that players on different platforms can play together. For instance, GTA V is a cross-platform game, but it doesn't support cross-play.
Cross-Play: allows players using different gaming platforms to play together in the same online multiplayer match. For instance, Rocket League is a cross-play game.
Keep in mind that any cross-play game is cross-platform by default, but not vice versa. A game can exist on multiple platforms without letting those platforms interact with each other online.
How to Turn Crossplay On and Off in Battlefield 6
Only console players can change the crossplay setting. These are the steps on PS5 and Xbox:
Open Settings by selecting the cog icon.
Go to the System tab.
Under Setup, toggle Cross-Play off, or switch it back on to play with other platforms again.
This setting can't be changed while you're in a party, in a server or already matchmaking, so leave those first. After turning it off, you only match with players on the same console, and playing with friends on other platforms stops working until you turn it back on.

How to Play With Friends on Other Platforms
Playing with a friend on another platform works through EA Connect, with crossplay turned on. These steps add them and invite them to your party:
Press R2 on PlayStation, RT on Xbox or TAB on PC to open EA Connect.
Type your friend's EA ID or platform ID into the search bar.
Select Add friend.
Once they accept, invite them from the Party tab.
Adding a platform friend as an EA friend also lets you keep playing together if one of you switches to a different platform later.
Does Battlefield 6 Have Cross-Progression
Yes, Battlefield 6 has cross-progression through your EA account. As long as your PlayStation, Xbox and PC accounts are linked to the same EA account, your progress and unlocks carry over when you switch platforms.
Cross-progression doesn't mean cross-buy, though. Battlefield 6 has to be bought separately on each platform, so owning it on Xbox doesn't give you the PC version, and it isn't part of Xbox Play Anywhere.
