Rat Bone Weapons

Looking to deal some serious damage to rats, including the mighty Scurrius? Here are a few weapons that’ll give you the edge, each forged by combining a Scurrius spine with other trusty weapons:
Bone Mace: To craft this bad boy, combine a Scurrius spine with a rune mace at an anvil using a hammer. It takes 35 Smithing to craft and requires 50 Attack to wield, but once you've got it, you’ll be swinging with extra power.
Bone Shortbow: If ranged combat is more your style, this one’s for you. Combine a yew shortbow and a Scurrius spine with a knife to create the Bone Shortbow. You’ll need 35 Fletching and 50 Ranged to use it, but it’s well worth the effort when facing off against those pesky rats.
Bone Staff: For mages looking to get in on the action, the Bone Staff is a must-have. Craft it by combining a battlestaff with a Scurrius spine, 1,000 chaos runes, and a chisel. With 35 Crafting and 50 Magic required, this staff will let you channel some serious arcane power into your attacks.

Scurrius Attacks
To defeat Scurrius, understanding his mechanics is key. He has a variety of attacks and special abilities that require quick reactions and strategic use of prayers and movement. Prepare for a challenging battle with multiple phases and surprises along the way.
Tail Swipe: A fast melee attack that hits up to 13 damage. Protect from Melee blocks all damage. Used in the first two phases.
Bolts of Electricity: A magic attack dealing up to 14 damage (8 in solo). Protect from Magic negates all damage.
Flying Fur: A ranged attack throwing a stinky fur ball for up to 13 damage (7 in solo). Protect from Missiles blocks all damage.
Special Attacks
Healing: When Scurrius hits 80% health, he eats from a Food Pile, restoring 5-10 health per second. He'll only use magic, ranged, and Falling Bricks during this phase.
Minions: Scurrius summons six level 46 rats that are accurate and can hit up to 4 damage through Protect from Melee. They can interrupt healing from the Food Piles.
Falling Bricks: Scurrius causes rubble to fall, dealing 15-24 damage. One piece targets your current tile, while others fall randomly.

Strategy for Killing Scurrius

Knowing how to handle his attacks is key to defeating Scurrius. Until Scurrius hits 30% health, use Protect from Melee to block his strongest attack, thanks to his high Attack level of 300 and +150 melee attack bonus. His ranged and magic attacks are less accurate, so they can be dodged with quick reactions. Also, be sure to avoid falling rubble when it appears!
If you're using mage or ranged attacks and don’t want to pray flick, switch your prayer to whichever style your gear is weakest against when Scurrius heads to the food piles, as he won't melee attack during this phase.
When the Giant Rats Appear:
If you have a rat bone weapon, use it to attack the rats with no delay for maximum experience per hour.
No rat bone weapon? You can use a charged Venator bow, the Rune thrownaxe special attack, or Dinh's Bulwark to deal with them.
If you're without these weapons, try to trap the rats using Scurrius and his minions to reduce the number of rats appearing, as they bypass prayer and are pretty accurate.
Once Scurrius drops to 30% health (150 for solo, 450 for groups), he will move to the center and start dropping rubble. During this phase, he’ll stop using melee and start throwing ranged and magic attacks while continuing to summon rat minions—up to 12 waves. After that, no more rats will spawn.
Finishing Off the Fight
After Scurrius is defeated, focus on killing the remaining rats. If you’re using a rat bone weapon, you can attack the giant rats with no delay. However, if you switch from Scurrius to a minion, expect the usual attack delay.
Also, keep an eye on the Food Pile! You can eat from it once every 10 minutes to heal to full health outside of combat. Just remember, you can’t eat immediately after being attacked, but you can eat while Scurrius or the rats are still alive.

Taking down Scurrius is no small feat, but with the right strategy, gear, and understanding of his attacks, you’ll be able to conquer this Rat King with confidence. Remember, it’s all about managing his different attack styles, handling his rat minions, and using the right prayers at the right time. Whether you go in with magic, ranged, or melee, preparation is key to securing your victory. Keep your focus, dodge those falling bricks, and you’ll have Scurrius on the ropes in no time. Good luck, and may your loot be plentiful!
