A cooperative first-person shooter and spiritual successor to the Left 4 Dead series, Back 4 Blood is set in a world devastated by a horrifying outbreak. A parasite known as the Devil Worm, hinted to be of extraterrestrial origin, has swept across humanity, transforming the vast majority of people into vicious undead mutants called the Ridden. A year after the catastrophe began, scattered pockets of humanity cling to survival amid the ruins. Standing against the tide are the Cleaners, a band of hardened veteran survivors who take the fight to the Ridden and defend Fort Hope, a fortified settlement in the fictional town of Finleyville, Pennsylvania. Players take control of one of these Cleaners, teaming up with others to battle through hordes of grotesque, mutated enemies across a series of campaign missions. Facing relentless swarms and ever-shifting dangers, the Cleaners must hold the line, rescue survivors, and push back against the parasite threatening to wipe out what remains of the world.
