Yakuza 0 is an action-adventure game developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by SEGA. It was originally released for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in Japan on March 12, 2015, and worldwide on January 24, 2017. The PC version launched on Steam on August 1, 2018.

Set in 1988 during Japan's economic bubble era, the game alternates between two playable protagonists. Kazuma Kiryu is a young member of the Dojima Family, a subsidiary of the Tojo Clan, who is framed for the murder of a man he was sent to collect a debt from. His attempts to clear his name pull him into a larger conflict over a vacant lot in Kamurocho, Tokyo, that multiple factions are willing to kill over. Goro Majima is running a cabaret club in Sotenbori, Osaka, having been removed from the yakuza following a failed mission. His story follows his attempts to reclaim his standing in the underworld while being drawn into a dangerous job that tests everything he believes.

Combat for both characters is built around multiple fighting styles that can be switched during battles. Kiryu has three styles covering brawling, speed, and brute force. Majima draws from different martial arts backgrounds across his own three styles. Defeating enemies and completing activities earns money, which acts as experience used to upgrade each style.

Outside of the main story, Yakuza 0 features a large range of side content. Kiryu manages a real estate business, and Majima runs a cabaret club, both with their own mechanics and progression. Karaoke, disco, mahjong, shogi, batting cages, classic SEGA arcade games, and dozens of other activities are spread across both cities. Yakuza 0 holds a Metacritic score of 86 and a Mostly Positive rating on Steam.
