Release Date and Time
Riven Tides goes live on April 28, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The clearest confirmed time is 13:00 CEST / 11:00 UTC / 04:00 PT, tied to the Expedition Window opening alongside the update.

The New Riven Tides Map

Riven Tides adds a new coastal map on the western edge of the Rust Belt, making it the first new map since Stella Montis arrived with the North Line update in November 2025. The area was abandoned twice, first during the Exodus and again by survivors of the First Wave who could not hold the exposed settlement against ARC.
The map mixes open shoreline routes with resort ruins, industrial dock spaces, and vertical movement opportunities. Confirmed points of interest include the Panorama Azzurro Resort and its Resturant, the beachfront, the harbor and dockyard, the sea wall, flooded docks with wrecked ships, and the coastline buoys tied to the Avian Alarm project.
The Avian Alarm is a five-stage Raider Project where players build a makeshift security system by deploying cages at buoys along the coast to catch birds. Completing the project rewards a new emote and 250 Raider Tokens in total.

New Large ARC

Riven Tides introduces the ARC Turbine, a new, large flying ARC enemy. It patrols the skies and deploys defensive measures when Raiders get close, making a straightforward approach difficult. In terms of difficulty, it sits in the same category as the Queen and Matriarch, so expect a serious fight before you can recover its loot.
Beachcombing - New Map Condition

Beachcombing is a new minor map condition exclusive to the Riven Tides map. Raiders can find the Dockmaster's Detector during a session and use it to sweep the sand along the coast to uncover buried loot. The richest areas are out in the open, so expect exposure to be part of the risk when hunting for buried items.
Last Resort Event
Last Resort is a limited-time event running from April 28 through May 25, 2026. It works across all maps, so progress is not locked to the new Riven Tides map. XP earned during play automatically converts into Merits, and players can earn additional Merits by finding miniature Ship Models hidden throughout the world. The rarer the model, the higher its Merit value.
Merits unlock rewards across three pages, including the Junior Outfit, Hydrologist backpack, Hose attachment, Brass Faucet charm, new emotes, and 250 Raider Tokens in total.
Expedition Window Changes

The third Expedition Window opens on April 28 at 11:00 UTC and closes on May 11 at 07:00 UTC. The key change is how Skill Points are earned. Stash value no longer counts. Instead, all five Skill Points are now tied to the total damage you deal to ARCs and other Raiders during the window.
Skill Point | Required Damage |
|---|---|
1 | 5,000 |
2 | 10,000 |
3 | 30,000 |
4 | 50,000 |
5 | 100,000 |
For reference, destroying a Bastion counts for approximately 5,000 damage toward your total. Players who missed the full five Skill Points in the previous Expedition can catch up during this one. Completing the Expedition also rewards 12 additional permanent stash spaces, and the new Last Call feature gives players who missed the signup window a chance to still participate after it closes.

Final Words
Riven Tides is a substantial update for ARC Raiders, adding a new map, a new enemy, a reworked Expedition system, and a month-long event. The coastal setting brings a different pace to the Rust Belt, and the damage-based Expedition requirements give the third window a more active feel compared to the previous wealth-based system.
