Forza Horizon 6: All Treasure Car Locations

Forza Horizon 6: All Treasure Car Locations

Nine free cars sit on the Japanese map in Forza Horizon 6, and most players drive past three of them without noticing. Treasure Cars in Forza Horizon 6 are the ungated cousin of the 15 Barn Finds - no Discover Japan level to raise, no credits to pay, just a photo clue and a car at the end of it.

The list includes a 2005 Ford GT and a 1974 Lancia Stratos, and the full set carries the Treasure Hunter achievement with it. If grinding the map from scratch isn't your idea of fun, GameBoost sells Forza Horizon 6 accounts and boosting services that skip to the good part.

Below, you'll find every Forza Horizon 6 treasure car location, region by region, plus the three that trip people up.

Forza Horizon 6 Treasure Car Locations Summary

Forza Horizon 6 Treasure Car Locations Summary
  • There are 9 Treasure Cars, one per region across Horizon Japan.

  • Clues arrive in your Cars menu once you've revealed enough of a region's map - no accolade or rank requirement.

  • Each clue is a photograph plus a short hint, vague enough that the terrain is what you go on.

  • Cars are yours instantly and free on arrival - no restoration wait, unlike the 15 Barn Finds.

  • All nine give the Treasure Hunter achievement (30G) plus the Treasure Cars badge.

  • The Safari Turbo at the Ito wind farm takes two minutes; the Ford GT on the Nangan coast eats an hour.

  • Bring ground clearance for Ohtani, Takashiro and Sotoyama - those sit off-road.

How Treasure Cars Work in FH6

Horizon Japan launched on May 19, 2026, Premium players four days early. Reveal roads in a region, get a prompt that a Treasure Car is available, then open your Cars menu for the clue - a photograph plus a line of text that rarely narrows things down much.

Drive there, and the car is yours on arrival. No credits, no restoration wait, nothing to raise first. It lands in your garage, stock and ready.

One habit worth building: check the Cars menu after every region reveal. Clues don't queue up in a notification feed, so that unclaimed one can sit for hours.

Guides disagree on some details - PC Gamer and Windows Central put the Charger central and eastern respectively - but the car, region and landmark match across all of them.

The 3 Hardest Treasure Cars

Six of the nine cars take a couple of minutes each once you know the landmark. The other three eat time, and for a different reason every time - one is hidden, one is a driving problem, one just needs the right car underneath you. Sort those three out before you set off and the whole run gets shorter.

Here's what makes each of them awkward and how to beat it:

  • 2005 Ford GT (Nangan) - the worst of the nine. The dirt path in the hills above the beach barely reads as a road, so the main coastal route gets you nowhere. Run the easternmost coast road slowly and watch the hillside for the turn-off.

  • 1974 Lancia Stratos (Sotoyama) - easy to spot, hard to reach. A rear-drive car with cold tyres slides off the alpine pass repeatedly. Take an AWD rally build and the lodge shows up partway to the top.

  • 1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE (Ohtani) - sits out on the Shimanoyama border past a rough track that punishes low cars. The masts are visible from far out, so the climb is the only obstacle.

As for which of the nine are worth keeping in the garage: the Evo III GSR is a solid early rally car for the first hours of dirt events, and the Safari Turbo covers cross-country before you've bought anything serious. The Figaro, RX-7 and 959 suit Horizon Tour and stunt playlists more than races, the Charger and M1 both work on the Tokyo street scene once tuned, and the Ford GT earns back its frustrating drive on the C1 loop.

FAQs About Forza Horizon 6 Treasure Car Locations

FAQs About Forza Horizon 6 Treasure Car Locations

How many Treasure Cars are in Forza Horizon 6?

Nine, one per region. The list runs from a 1991 Nissan Figaro in Tokyo City to a 1974 Lancia Stratos in the Sotoyama mountains.

Do I need a certain Horizon rank to get them?

No. The only requirement is revealing enough of the region's map for the clue to appear in your Cars menu.

Are Treasure Cars the same as Barn Finds?

No - FH6 has both. The 15 Barn Finds need your Discover Japan level raised before their rumours appear. The nine Treasure Cars have no gate at all.

Do the clues expire?

No. An unclaimed clue stays in your Cars menu for the rest of your save, so there's no rush.

What achievement do I get?

Treasure Hunter, worth 30 Gamerscore, for claiming all nine. Your first one also pops A Stylish New Addition to My Collection for 10G.

Final word

Expect around 90 minutes for the full set if you plan one route through the regions instead of teleporting. Start with Ito and Minamino, save Nangan and Sotoyama for last, and you'll have all nine before the opening chapters are done. The reason to do it early is what the nine give you: a rally car, a cross-country truck and a proper supercar at hour three, for nothing - a spread of classes most players don't own until they've ground out a few million credits.

The map reveal is doing the real work here, since clues only appear once a region is uncovered. A session spent chaining roads you haven't driven pays off twice, and players who bounce between fast-travel points tend to stall around the sixth car and assume something's bugged.

If a clue photo has you circling the same hillside for the third time, the terrain in the shot is the tell, not the road layout - that's how the Nangan Ford GT eventually falls.
