All Base Skins in Steal a Brainrot

Your base skin is the first thing other players notice when they land on your server, and a default box tells everyone you haven't put in the hours yet. In Steal a Brainrot, every skin ties back to something specific: a mutation Index, a timed event, or one exact OG brainrot placed in your base.
There are 34 base skins total, split across five categories: Classic, Mutation, OG, Seasonal, and Admin. This guide breaks down each one, the category it falls under, and exactly what it takes to earn it.
All Base Skins in Steal a Brainrot Summary

Steal a Brainrot has 34 base skins total: Classic (4), Mutation (10), OG (6), Seasonal (13), and Admin (1)
Classic and Mutation skins come from mutation Index completion, ranging from 50% to 100% depending on the mutation
OG skins require owning and placing a specific OG brainrot, like Skibidi Toilet, John Pork, or Headless Horseman
Seasonal skins are tied to limited-time events; most can no longer be earned through gameplay, only through trading
The Admin base, SpyderSammy's Base, only appears during Admin Abuse events on Tuesdays and Saturdays
Classic, Mutation, and OG skins can't be traded directly, though Index brainrots can be lent between players
Seasonal skins became tradable after the Summer Update
All Base Skin Categories in Steal a Brainrot
Classic and Mutation base skins work the same way; the only difference is which mutation they're tied to. OG skins are in a different league, since they depend on owning brainrots that can trade for hundreds or thousands of dollars.
Seasonal skins are the hardest to plan around, since most stop being earnable once their event ends. Trading or buying base skins is now the main route to older seasonal skins, while the Admin base stays locked to its weekly event regardless of progress.
Category | Number of Skins | How They're Earned |
Classic | 4 | Mutation Index completion |
Mutation | 10 | Mutation Index completion |
OG | 6 | Owning a specific OG brainrot |
Seasonal | 13 | Limited-time events, shop, or trading |
Admin | 1 | Admin Abuse events only |
Classic Base Skins in Steal a Brainrot

Default base skin is automatic and doesn't count as a real unlock. Gold and Diamond base skins are usually the first ones players finish, since those mutations show up more often.
Rainbow base skin is the hardest Classic skin, since the mutation itself is rare, sometimes under 1% odds. None of the Classic skins can be traded directly, so completing the Index yourself, or borrowing brainrots to finish it, is the only way in.

Mutation Base Skins in Steal a Brainrot

Candy, Lava, and Galaxy need full 100% Index completion, making them the longest grind in this category. Yin Yang and Radioactive sit at 75%, on par with the Classic tier.
Cursed, Divine, Cyber, Phantom, and Crystal only need 50-60%, but the mutations themselves are still rare enough that even that takes time. None of these are tradable directly, so lending Index brainrots between players is the best shortcut.

OG Base Skins in Steal a Brainrot

No Index, no percentage. You either own one of these six brainrots or you don't. These are some of the most expensive items in the game, with several trading well above $300 and Headless Horseman regularly going for thousands.
Since OG skins can't be traded as separate items, getting one means buying, trading for, or stealing the actual brainrot first. Once it's placed, the skin unlocks automatically and stays as long as the brainrot does.

Seasonal Base Skins in Steal a Brainrot

Once an event ends, its Index-based skins usually stop being obtainable through normal play. Since the Summer Update, seasonal skins can be traded, so missing an event doesn't rule one out completely.
Gingerbread, Rose, Pot of Gold, Bunny Basket, and Red Octo come from direct shop purchases during their event window rather than an Index grind. Several events return yearly, so checking the shop each season is worth doing even after missing one.

Admin Base Skin in Steal a Brainrot
SpyderSammy's Base isn't unlocked and kept. It only appears while an Admin Abuse event is live, held on Tuesdays and Saturdays. It spawns outside the normal map boundary, and players can steal brainrots and Lucky Blocks from it while the event runs.
It's more of a temporary opportunity than a permanent skin. Low-tier Secrets and Brainrot Gods can show up in Sammy's base, making it a faster route to rare brainrots than regular stealing.
