How to Get Free Gold ASAP Rocky Skin in Fortnite
ASAP Rocky landed in Fortnite with the Treasure Hunters mini-season, and players can get his skin in two ways. Solid Gold ASAP Rocky is a free outfit that drops from Treasure Chests in Battle Royale, and the regular ASAP Rocky outfit is sold in the Item Shop.
Getting the gold version comes down to luck. Any chest opened during the first week of Treasure Hunters can roll Solid Gold ASAP Rocky or his gold Gauntlets pickaxe, but Epic Games has not shared the chance of either one dropping.
Fortnite ASAP Rocky Skin Summary
Solid Gold ASAP Rocky is a free Epic outfit from Treasure Hunt chests in Fortnite Battle Royale.
Gauntlets drop on their own, since Solid Gold ASAP Rocky's Gauntlets pickaxe is a separate chest prize.
Squads share the reward, so every squad member gets the gold skin when one teammate finds it.
Odds stay unknown because Epic has not published a drop chance for the gold ASAP Rocky skin or the Gauntlets.
Item Shop outfits Rocky Rugahand and Shirthead Flacko arrive on November 5, 2026, at 7 PM ET.
Beating the ASAP Rocky boss can drop his Shock Rocket and Lil' Flacko Sprite, but not the skin.
Solid Gold ASAP Rocky Skin
Solid Gold ASAP Rocky is a gold version of ASAP Rocky's anime-style Fortnite look, and it is a Treasure Hunt chest prize that isn't sold in the Item Shop. Fortnite lists it as an Epic outfit with the description “Precious metals, precious pearls.”
Treasure Hunters is the pirate-themed mini-season that started on November 1, 2026, alongside the One Piece x Fortnite collab. During it, every chest in Battle Royale can roll a Treasure Hunt prize, and Solid Gold ASAP Rocky is one of the headline prizes of the first week together with his gold Gauntlets.
Gold ASAP Rocky is also one of the rare free Fortnite skins that cost nothing at all, since the outfit goes straight to the Locker even if the player gets eliminated later in the match.
How to Get the Gold ASAP Rocky Skin in Fortnite
Solid Gold ASAP Rocky drops from Treasure Hunt rolls in Battle Royale chests, and no chest or location on the map is tied to the skin. Getting it comes down to three steps:
Join a Battle Royale match during the first week of Treasure Hunters.
Open every chest along the way, since each opened chest can roll a Treasure Hunt prize.
Keep looting until a gold prize pops up, which then goes to every member of the squad.
Chests refill over time during a match, so looted buildings can be opened again later for more chances. Sprites help as well, since the Fortune Sprite reveals nearby chests and the Plundarrgh Sprite raises movement speed as more chests get opened.
Players know right away when a chest pays out, because a gold pop-up appears near the top of the screen as soon as the prize drops.
How Long is Solid Gold ASAP Rocky Available in Fortnite
Solid Gold ASAP Rocky is available from November 1 to November 7, 2026, which covers the first week of Treasure Hunters. After that, Lil Uzi Vert's gold prizes take over the Treasure Hunt pool, so the gold ASAP Rocky skin and Gauntlets stop dropping from chests.
Epic has not said if the gold skin will come back later in the season, show up in the Item Shop or stay unobtainable. Players who miss the first week have no confirmed way to get Solid Gold ASAP Rocky, so opening as many chests as possible during that week matters most.
Gold ASAP Rocky Fortnite Chances and Gauntlets Rarity
Solid Gold ASAP Rocky is one of the rarest Treasure Hunt prizes, and Epic Games has not published a drop chance for it. No official odds exist for the gold Gauntlets either, so any exact percentage shared online is only a guess.
Outfit and pickaxe roll separately, which means getting Solid Gold ASAP Rocky does not give his Gauntlets, and the other way around. Most rolls land on smaller prizes such as Gizmos instead, so seeing either gold item drop takes a lot of chests and some luck.
Squads raise the number of rolls, because one teammate's gold prize goes to the whole squad. Four players opening chests at the same time give everyone more chances per match than playing solo.
Other ASAP Rocky Treasure Hunt Rewards
Gold ASAP Rocky items share the first week's Treasure Hunt prize pool with these rewards:
Solid Gold ASAP Rocky's Gauntlets, the gold pickaxe that matches the outfit.
Plunder in Paradise loading screen, shown on screen as a match loads.
No Trespassing Jam Track, a song for Fortnite Festival and lobby music.
Mercedes-AMG G 63 car skin and the Golden Llama Crew car decal.
Gizmos such as the Sprite Locator and Lucky Locator, plus the rare Pirate Shop Access.
ASAP Rocky Item Shop Skins and Release Time
Players who want the regular ASAP Rocky look can buy it from the Item Shop instead. ASAP Rocky's Item Shop set arrives on November 5, 2026, at 7 PM ET, with outfits and items inspired by his Don't Be Dumb era:
Rocky Rugahand, a music-reactive outfit.
Shirthead Flacko, which comes with the Helicopter Flacko alt style.
Helicopter and RIOT (Rowdy Pipe'n) emotes.
RIOT (Rowdy Pipe'n), Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2 (LPFJ2) and GRIM Jam Tracks.
ASAP Rockets and Hi-Fi Jets back blings, ASAP's Gauntlets pickaxe, Flacko's Choppa glider and Message From Flacko wrap.
Both outfits wear ASAP Rocky x PUMA Suede '94 sneakers. Epic has not announced V-Bucks prices for the set before release, so the cost shows up once the items go live in the shop.
Players lucky enough to hold Pirate Shop Access can claim these items for free, since the Pirate Shop covers everything sold for V-Bucks for 14 days after activation.
ASAP Rocky Boss Location and Drops
ASAP Rocky also appears on Crossbones Isle as a boss aboard his battleship, The $.$. Rocky. He is the island's first Captain's Day boss, and players can board the ship, fight him and then raid the deck for loot.
Defeating ASAP Rocky can drop his Shock Rocket and the Lil' Flacko Sprite, but neither drop is guaranteed. Shock Rocket uses Shock Rock charges to launch players into the air before firing rockets down, and it is available in non-Competitive play only. Lil' Flacko creates a small shockwave on landing that knocks back nearby opponents.
Beating the boss does not give the ASAP Rocky skin, so the gold version still comes only from chests. His fight is set to his song Helicopter, which also gives its name to one of his Item Shop emotes.
FAQs About ASAP Rocky Skin in Fortnite
Final Words
Solid Gold ASAP Rocky rewards players who loot as much as they can during the first week of Treasure Hunters, and squads have the best shot at it. Anyone who misses the gold version can still pick up the regular ASAP Rocky look once his Item Shop set goes live.
