How to Unlock Pets in Clash of Clans

Pets become available once you upgrade to Town Hall 14. At this level, you can construct the Pet House building, which unlocks your first pet, L.A.S.S.I. The Pet House costs Elixir to build, which then helps you manage all your pets.

Each subsequent pet requires upgrading the Pet House to a higher level. The building currently has 11 levels, with each upgrade unlocking a new pet. Upgrading the Pet House costs progressively more Elixir at higher levels and requires specific Town Hall levels to access certain upgrades.

Town Hall 14 allows you to upgrade the Pet House to level 4, unlocking the first four pets. Town Hall 15 extends this to level 8, giving you access to four additional pets. Town Hall 16 brings the Pet House to level 10, unlocking two more pets. Town Hall 17 maxes out the Pet House at level 11, unlocking the final pet for a total of 11 pets.

What Do Pets Do?

Pets are companion units that deploy alongside your Heroes during attacks. You can assign one pet to each Hero, and the pet automatically accompanies that Hero into battle whenever you deploy them.

Each pet has unique abilities designed to support your Heroes in specific ways. Some provide additional damage, others offer healing, and some have special effects like stunning defenses or breaking through walls.

Pets are immortal units that don't require regeneration after battles. Once unlocked and assigned to a Hero, they're always available unless currently being upgraded. During upgrades, the pet cannot be used in attacks until the upgrade completes.

Pets only function offensively and provide no defensive value. They don't help protect your village when other players attack you, and they only exist to support your Heroes during raids.

How to Use Pets

Managing and assigning pets happens through the Pet House. Once you have pets unlocked, you can assign them to your Heroes based on your attack strategy and the specific abilities you need for each raid.

  1. Open the Pet House building in your village.

  2. Select the pet you want to assign.

  3. Choose which Hero you want to pair it with.

  4. Confirm the assignment.

  5. Deploy your Hero during attacks, and the pet automatically deploys with them.

Each Hero can only have one pet assigned at a time. You can change pet assignments between attacks to match different strategies, but you cannot swap pets during an active raid. The pet stays with its assigned Hero throughout the entire battle and cannot be reassigned to a different Hero mid-attack.

Final Words

Pets add significant strategic depth to Clash of Clans once you reach Town Hall 14. Understanding how to unlock them through the Pet House, what abilities they offer, and how to pair them with your Heroes can dramatically improve your attack success rate. Each pet brings unique advantages that complement specific Heroes and strategies.
