Exact Amount Option in Rocket League

a picture of the exact amount option in rocket league

On October 14, 2025, Psyonix introduced the Exact Amount option to the Credits purchasing screen in Rocket League, Fortnite, and Fall Guys. The feature lets you top up your balance to exactly what you need for a specific purchase, rather than buying a fixed package and ending up with leftover Credits sitting in your account.

In Rocket League, the Exact Amount is available in increments of 50 Credits to align with how items are priced in the game. As seen in the image above, when you attempt to purchase an item without enough Credits, the game will now show you three options. The first is the Exact Amount, which covers the gap between your current balance and the item's cost.

It's worth noting that the Exact Amount is priced at the same rate as the smallest 500 Credit package, meaning you pay the highest per-credit rate of the available options. If you plan to buy more items down the line, one of the larger packages will give you more value.

Which Credits Package Gives the Best Value?

The 6,500 Credits package offers the lowest cost per credit at $7.69 per 1,000 Credits, making it the most efficient option if you spend regularly on the Item Shop or Rocket Pass.

The 3,000 Credits package sits in the middle at $8.33 per 1,000 Credits. It's a reasonable option if you have a specific purchase in mind and don't want to commit to the larger amount.

The 500 and 1,100 Credit packages carry the highest per-credit cost, so they're best reserved for situations where you only need a small top-up and don't plan on spending more beyond that. The Exact Amount option also falls into this category since it uses the same pricing rate as the 500 pack.

Do Rocket League Credits Prices Differ by Platform?

The prices are generally consistent in the same region, but small differences can appear depending on your platform's local currency conversion and any applicable taxes or fees applied at checkout.

One important thing to keep in mind is that Credits are platform-locked. Credits purchased on PlayStation stay on PlayStation, and Credits bought on Xbox or PC cannot be transferred between accounts or platforms. This applies regardless of cross-play or cross-progression features being active on your account.

Final Words

Rocket League Credits are priced across four standard packages, and the larger the package, the lower the cost per credit. The 6,500 Credits pack offers the best rate if you spend regularly, while the Exact Amount option is useful for one-off purchases where you just need to cover a small gap. If you want to spend less than the official store prices, third-party platforms like GameBoost offer the same packages at a lower cost.
