What are Rocket League Credits?

Rocket League Credits are the game's only in-game currency, covering everything from Item Shop cosmetics to unlocking Blueprints. That changed in a meaningful way on April 22, 2025, when Psyonix retired Esports Tokens entirely and made Credits the single currency across both the Item Shop and the newly renamed RLCS Shop. Players who still had Esports Tokens at that point had them automatically converted to Credits, with a 10% bonus applied on top.

The RLCS Shop, which replaced the old Esports Shop, now stocks team-based cosmetics tied to the competitive scene, including universal decals and takeover goal explosions for RLCS 2025 teams. These sit alongside the broader Item Shop catalog, where Rocket League Credits can be spent on car bodies, decals, wheels, boosts, and other cosmetic items. None of this affects gameplay or competitive rankings; they are purely about how your car looks on the field.
