What is Blade Ball?

Blade Ball is a Roblox fighting experience developed by Wiggity, released on June 17, 2023. The core gameplay has players deflecting a homing ball with precise timing, passing it between opponents until someone fails to block it and gets eliminated. The last player standing wins the round. Since launch, the game has accumulated over six billion visits on Roblox and set a record for the fastest game to reach one billion visits, doing so in under 100 days.

• Limited — No longer sold in the Blade Ball shop directly and can only be obtained through the trading system, making them some of the most wanted Blade Ball weapons in circulation.

• Unique — A distinct category of skins with appearances that range from mystical to novelty designs, each carrying its own trading value.

• Secret — The rarest Blade Ball swords in the game, dropping at just 0.02% from standard crates or 0.8% from premium crates. Secret skins can be awakened at 1,500 kills, unlocking upgraded visuals, improved effects, and in some cases a custom slash animation, with players able to preview the awakened version before committing to that kill count.

Among all tradable Blade Ball items, the rarest sword is the Dual Chroma Energy Sword, which holds the highest community-assigned trade value of any tradable item in the game at 3,200, making it the most in-demand piece in the current market by a considerable margin.

Abilities in Blade Ball are active powers used during matches, covering both offensive and defensive options. There are currently 60 total abilities in the game, with 32 purchasable through Coins and 28 available through limited or alternative methods. Every ability can be upgraded over time to become more effective, and many have cosmetic reskins that change their appearance on activation without affecting performance. Blade Ball is not pay-to-win, as the most impactful abilities are fully accessible through Coins earned during normal gameplay, and the game itself is free to play with no mandatory purchases required.
