Level design is where the budget shows. Outdoor areas have character, then you step into the tenth cave with the same layout and the same three rock formations. No patch has changed that.
Crafting is the other soft spot. Upgrade slots let you push damage and armor far past what the encounter design expects, and the game never claws that advantage back. Romance conclusions are equally slight, with four of the five companions romanceable and each route locking out the others for that playthrough.
