Will Nivalis Nights Come Out on PS5 and Xbox?

Nivalis Nights launched on Steam on September 29, 2026, and console players keep asking whether a Nivalis Nights PS5 or Xbox version is on the way. ION LANDS' cyberpunk noodle-stand sim lives on a single storefront for now, so any Nivalis Nights console release would open the city of Nivalis to a much larger crowd.
We spent launch week with the PC build for our Nivalis Nights review and gave it a 7/10, a gorgeous city held back by patch-dependent performance.
The short answer is no, at least for now. No PS5, Xbox, or Switch version has been announced, and the developers say PC is their main focus. Below, you'll find the official platform status and what ION LANDS' track record with Cloudpunk suggests.

Nivalis Nights PS5, Xbox Summary
No Nivalis Nights PS5 version has been announced. The game is out on PC via Steam only, with Epic planned for later.
The official Steam FAQ says PC is the main focus, with the team looking into other platforms.
Full controller support is confirmed, and handheld support (including Steam Deck) is still under review.
Cloudpunk hit PS4, Xbox One, and Switch about six months after PC, but those ports were announced before launch.
Cloudpunk's PS5 version took over two years. Any Nivalis Nights console date is pure guesswork today.
Is Nivalis Nights Coming to PS5 or Xbox?

No console version of Nivalis Nights is confirmed. The Nivalis Nights Steam store page lists Windows only, and 505 Games published the game there on September 29, 2026. An Epic Games Store release is planned for later, with no date attached.
The closest thing to a console statement sits in the official FAQ pinned on the Steam forums, first posted in June 2025. The team writes there that PC is its main focus at the moment and that it is looking into other platforms.
That PC-first stance goes back years. When 505 Games signed on as publisher in 2022, the game (then called just Nivalis) was announced for PC via Steam and Epic. Consoles were missing from that reveal and from the 2023 update that set a 2024 window, which the game later missed.
Platform | Nivalis Nights status (October 2026) |
|---|---|
PC (Steam) | Out since September 29, 2026 |
PC (Epic Games Store) | Planned for later, no date |
PlayStation 5 | Not announced |
Xbox Series X|S | Not announced |
Nintendo Switch / Switch 2 | Not announced |
Steam Deck and handhelds | Being looked into, nothing confirmed |
Looking into other platforms is a door left open. In our experience, studios use that line long before a port is greenlit, so we'd read it as a maybe with no timeline.
What Cloudpunk Says About a Nivalis Nights Console Release
Cloudpunk, ION LANDS' previous game and the best guide we have, is set in the same city. It launched on PC on April 23, 2020, and reached PS4, Xbox One, and Switch on October 15, 2020, almost six months later.
Cloudpunk platform | Release date | Gap after PC |
|---|---|---|
PC | April 23, 2020 | Launch |
PS4, Xbox One, Switch | October 15, 2020 | About 6 months |
PS5 | August 19, 2022 | Over 2 years |
Xbox Series X|S | October 16, 2023 | About 3.5 years |
Cloudpunk's console versions were announced on February 13, 2020, more than two months before the PC launch, so players knew ports were coming. Nivalis Nights shipped with no such announcement, which points to a longer wait if a port happens at all.
Current-gen versions took far longer. Cloudpunk's PS5 version arrived in August 2022, and Xbox Series X|S followed in October 2023.
If Nivalis Nights follows the slower track, a console version in 2027 is possible. That estimate is our own read of the pattern, and ION LANDS hasn't hinted at any date.
Why a Nivalis Nights PS5 Port Needs More Patches First
Performance is the biggest obstacle. In our testing, packed market streets and the Metro Hub stuttered, and three updates in the first week improved things without fully fixing them. Update #2 added light culling and a Lighting Details slider, and Update #3 improved crowd simulation.
That slider is a PC-side fix. A PS5 has fixed hardware, so the studio can't hand stutter off to a graphics menu and has to hit a stable frame rate by itself. The PC minimum spec already asks for 16 GB of RAM, a GTX 1660 Super-class GPU, and an SSD with 42 GB free.
On Steam, user reviews sit at Mostly Positive, roughly 73% of about 3,700 across all languages, and frame drops in busy areas are the most common complaint, some of them on high-end rigs. A console release would need those rough edges sanded down first.
Full controller support is already confirmed, so the input side of a port is in place, and an official Nivalis Nights Steam Deck rating would hint at how the game handles modest, fixed hardware.
FAQs About Nivalis Nights on Consoles
Final Words
Is the silence around a Nivalis Nights PS5 version bad news? We don't think so. Cloudpunk also launched on PC first and still reached every major console of its era, with the last port landing three and a half years after launch.
Crowd performance is the real gate. Once dense districts run smoothly on mid-range PCs, a console build gets a lot more realistic.
Nobody outside the studio knows yet whether 505 Games would handle a port or whether PS5 and Xbox would launch together.
Keep an eye on the official Steam news feed and the pinned FAQ. Our guess is that an Epic Games Store date or a Steam Deck rating arrives before any console news.
