Enshrouded Builds Rebuilt for 1.0 and Its New Skill Tree

Every Enshrouded character got its skill points back when Keen Games launched 1.0 on October 15, 2026, so Enshrouded builds need rebuilding. The update reset every Enshrouded skill tree on first load and added new nodes for wands, bows, and summons.
Our Enshrouded review called combat and builds the part of 1.0 that finally clicks. Every swing and dodge now costs stamina, and a well-timed parry fills the enemy's stun bar.
Below, you'll find four builds with key skills, weapons, and armor for each, plus how to respec with Runes in Enshrouded.
Enshrouded Builds Summary
1.0 reset every Enshrouded skill tree and added nine new skills.
Warrior: sword and shield, with the Albaneve Summits boss now open to melee.
Enshrouded mage build: every spell has a late-game Eternal version, and totem caps go higher.
Enshrouded bow build: the Marksman and Sharpshooter sets are now loot-only.
Hybrid: sword plus wand, carried by the new wand heavy attack.
Build | Weapons | Key skills | Armor |
|---|---|---|---|
Warrior | Sword, shield | The Warrior's Path, Veteran, Swift Blades, Battle Heal | Brazen Bull, later Sunpiercer |
Mage | Staff, wand | Necromancer, Totem Mastery, Advanced Necromancy | Elder, later Tidecaller |
Ranger | Bow, dagger | Marksman, Sniper, Puncture, Barrage | Eagle Eye, later Quetzal Hunter |
Hybrid | Sword, wand | One-Handed Specialization, Aerial Wand Attack, Battle Heal | A warrior set |
Warrior Build With Sword and Shield
Sword and shield gets the most out of the 1.0 boss changes. The Fell Dragon Youngling on Howling Peak in Albaneve Summits took a heavy health nerf and gained a phase where it stands exhausted within sword reach. Its back weak point now works for every weapon.
Start with The Warrior's Path for melee damage and Veteran for melee crit chance, then take Swift Blades for faster one-handed swings. Battle Heal on the tank side heals you for 5% of max health on a melee crit, so it pairs well with Veteran.
A parry fills the stun bar, and breaking it opens a Merciless Attack. Its stun meter got reworked too, so stun arrows and shock damage now stun it far better than before.
Enshrouded Mage Build Around Eternal Spells and Totems
Eternal spells carry the mage in 1.0. Each late-game Eternal version uses no charges and upgrades like a weapon at your class's crafting survivor. Guides covering the update list 22 Eternal spells at tier 7, with perks such as lower mana cost.
The nine new spells include Blizzard, Ball Lightning, Entangle, Summon Hollow Skeleton, and Fire, Ice, and Shock totems. Totem Mastery raises how many totems stay active at once, and Advanced Necromancy does the same for skeletons.
Put your first points into the Wizard side, then route into Necromancer and both summon nodes. Entangle holds enemies inside totem range. Summons give enemies a second target, so this is our pick for a solo mage.
Enshrouded Bow Build With a Dagger Backup

Bows turn strong around the level 10 biome, according to a Steam player cited in our review. 1.0 also adds Eternal Ember and voltaic arrows, and Eternal arrows now upgrade like weapons.
Take Marksman on the ranger side and Sniper on the assassin side, where 1.0 also moved all dagger skills. Puncture raises ranged piercing damage, and Barrage gives bow hits a chance to restore durability. Survival Instinct adds Shroud time when a bow or dagger kill lands on a Shroud-infested enemy.
Marksman gear now drops only from Revelwood chests and Sharpshooter only from Nomad Highlands chests. Tiers 2 and 3 each keep one craftable ranged set and one craftable dagger set. For the dagger backup, the Assassin, Frostbite Slasher, and Blood Feather sets now upgrade melee crit chance in place of sneak attack damage.
Sword and Wand Hybrid From Our Review
Our review ran this build. A one-handed sword covers close range, and the new wand heavy attack sends a piercing projectile that can interrupt weaker enemies. Against groups of Fell, that pierce earned its slot.
Aerial Wand Attack lands an area hit in the air, and Wand Evasion Attack fires a wider piercing shot with a backward hop. Add One-Handed Specialization and Battle Heal for the sword side.
Skip Blast and Cast, since it buffs only your next staff attack after a wand crit. Our run also swapped into Double Jump and Blink, and both earn their points on Albaneve's cliffs.
How to Respec Your Enshrouded Skill Tree With Runes
You respec at any Flame Altar by paying Runes. The price shifted between Early Access patches, so check the altar first. Our review found it cheap enough to test builds freely.
Runes drop from Shroud enemies, chests, and salvaged gear. In 1.0, early chests in Springlands and Revelwood hold more of them. Salvaging gear from a storage chest with a full backpack no longer makes Runes disappear.
Legendary items now need legendary runes one upgrade step later, so regular Runes cover that extra step. Keep some back from resets.
FAQs About Enshrouded Builds
Final Words
The reset hurts less than it sounds. Keen cut costs on many skills, and the new nodes give each class a clearer role.
Want to know if your build holds up? Take it to the Fell Dragon Youngling. Its exhausted phase and all-weapon weak point give melee a real opening, so warriors who gave up there in Early Access should try again.
We still don't know how often Marksman and Sharpshooter drop. If those chests stay stingy, archers will lean on craftable sets longer. Keep spare Runes, and switch builds when one stops working.
