LoL Guide: All New League Items in Season 14

League of Legends Season 14 has brought many exciting changes to the game in Patch 14.1 and in Patch 14.10. These changes include buffs and nerfs for certain champions and items, terrain adjustments, void gameplay changes, and various new items that are shaking up the meta and providing players with new strategic options. These additions aim to diversify gameplay, address balance issues, and introduce innovative mechanics that keep the game engaging.

To simplify the process of researching and learning about all the new league items, this guide will cover the items added to the game and the items they have replaced.

Removal of Mythic Items in Season 14

The removal of Mythic items marked a significant change in League of Legends Season 14. The limited number of Mythic options struggled to meet the diverse needs of all champion subclasses. Expanding the pool would have overcomplicated the game and reduced Legendary item choices. Riot determined that the drawbacks outweighed the benefits. In response, they converted some Mythics to Legendary status with reduced power and removed others entirely.

New Support Items & Quests

Bounty of Worlds

Bounty of Worlds is a versatile support item that upgrades from Runic Compass after earning 1000 gold with it (Support Quest). It serves as an in-between state item, allowing further upgrades. The item grants 200 Health, 75% Base Mana Regeneration, 75% Base Health Regeneration, and 5 gold per 10 seconds.

Its active ability, Ward, consumes a charge to place a Stealth Ward at the target location, revealing the surrounding area. Stealth Ward charges a refill upon visiting the shop. The item can hold a maximum of 4 charges, and the ward placement range is 600 units.

Upon completing the support quest, Bounty of Worlds unlocks its full potential, enabling an upgrade path to one of five specialized support items: Bloodsong, Celestial Opposition, Dream Maker, Solstice Sleigh, or Zaz'Zak's Realmspike.

Each of these advanced items retains the core stats and ward ability of Bounty of Worlds while introducing a unique passive effect for each upgrade, allowing supports to tailor their item choice to match their playstyle or team composition needs

Celestial Opposition

After the item Bonty of World is upgraded to Celestial Opposition its passive changes to Blessing of the Mountain. It makes the champion Blessed and reduces incoming enemy damage by 35% (melee) / 25% (ranged), lingering for 2 seconds after taking damage from a champion.

When the shield breaks, a shockwave is unleashed around the champion that slows nearby enemies by 50% for 1.5 seconds. Effect refreshes after leaving combat for 20 seconds.

This item shines on engaging supports like Rell and Leona, strengthening their frontline presence and crowd control capabilities.

Solstice Sleigh

After the upgrade, Solstice Sleight gets the unique passive called Going Sledding, which triggers when the champion slows or immobilizes an enemy champion.

It causes the champion with the item and the nearest allied champion with the lowest amount of health to gain 20% bonus movement speed decaying over 2.5 seconds, and 50 − 230 (based on your level) bonus health for 2.5 seconds with a 30-second cooldown. This bonus may exceed maximum health.

The item excels on supports with immobilizing abilities like Zilean, Maokai, and Bard, enhancing their utility and team-fight impact.

Bloodsong

Upgrading Bounty of the Worlds to Bloodsong provides a Spellblade passive. It is triggered after using an ability, and it causes the champions' next basic attack (within 10 seconds) to deal 100% base AD bonus physical damage on-hit, with a 1.5-second cooldown after using the empowered attack.

If the target is a champion, it applies the Expose Weakness effect for 6 seconds, causing them to take ( 10% melee /  5% ranged) increased damage from all sources.

This item is particularly valuable for aggressive supports like Pyke and Senna, allowing them to amplify their damage output and poke.

Dream Maker

Following the upgrade, Dream Makers’ unique passive is Dream Maker. It gives a Blue Dream Bubble and a Purple Dream Bubble every 8 seconds, and then healing and shielding an ally blows both Dream Bubbles to them and empowers them for 3 seconds.

Blue Bubble reduces 75 − 255 (based on level) incoming damage on the next hit and Purple Bubble grants 50 − 170 (based on level) bonus magic damage on the next hit.

This item is the best option for supports with shielding and/or healing abilities like Milio, Soraka, and Sona, enhancing their protective capabilities while adding additional offensive and defensive potential.

Zaz'Zak's Realmspike

When upgrading the Bounty of the Worlds to Zaz'Zak's Realmspike the passive changes to the Void Explosion passive. This passive works in a way that dealing ability damage to an enemy champion creates an explosion at their current location after a 0.5-second delay.

The explosion then deals 10 + 20% AP damage (+ 3% of each target's maximum health) to enemies within the area. It is capped at 300 against monsters and has a 10-second cooldown.

This item synergizes well with AP damage supports like Lux, Karma, and Morgana, amplifying their poke potential and team fight presence.
