How to Download League PBE?

Since its creation in 2009, League of Legends has undergone numerous updates that have brought about changes in gameplay, champions, builds, and items. To allow players to test upcoming features and changes before their official release, Riot Games has created a separate Public Beta Environment (PBE) client. This enables players to try out new updates and patches before they are implemented on the main servers.

It's important to note that the PBE is a work in progress, so the content you encounter may be incomplete, contain bugs, or undergo frequent changes. What you see on the PBE may not always reflect the final version that reaches the live servers.

Steps to Download and Access PBE LoL

To begin your journey on the League of Legends Public Beta Environment (PBE), you'll first need to sign up for a PBE account. Visit the official League of Legends PBE page and click the "Sign up for PBE" button. You'll be directed to a form where you can enter your email, and birthdate, choose a username and password, and read the Terms of Service.

Once you have your PBE account, accessing the client is easy, since you no longer need a separate client to access. Simply log into the Riot Client using your PBE account credentials. From there, select League of Legends and click the "Install" League of Legends PBE button. To begin the installation, create your Riot ID.

After completing these steps, you are ready to start playing on the PBE server. Click the small down arrow to the right of the Play button and choose "League of Legends PBE" to begin testing upcoming features and changes before they are released to the main game.

Contributing as a PBE Tester

Contributing as a PBE tester is valuable to League of Legends' development. The primary way to help is simply by playing on the PBE, as this allows Riot to identify large-scale issues like game hitching, crashes, and performance problems. Testers are encouraged to try new content using the daily 3000 RP mission reward in the PBE store. 

Providing feedback is crucial, with the community-run League of Legends PBE Subreddit serving as the main platform for reporting issues and sharing opinions. Rioters actively monitor this subreddit and may request additional information when needed. 

For those seeking a more interactive experience, the community-run PBE Discord Server offers opportunities to find testing partners and engage in live discussions. It's important to note that most PBE conversations occur in English due to the developers' US base. Lastly, testers must adhere to the LoL Code of Conduct, maintaining respectful behavior even in this testing environment.
