JP stands for Job Points in GTA Online. After completing deathmatches, races, or missions, players earn JP, which appears next to their names on the players list tab.

Job Points decide playlist winners and settle job voting ties. In playlists, the player with the most JP wins. When players disagree on job selections, the system breaks ties by supporting the job backed by players with the highest total Job Points.

How to Earn JP in GTA Online?

In GTA Online, players earn Job Points (JP) by participating in different in-game events. The amount of JP awarded depends on your performance during each job.

Missions reward players with job points based on completion and objectives. Successfully finishing a mission typically grants 15 JP, with an additional point for completing the main objective, bringing the total to 16 JP.

Deathmatches introduce a competitive element. The Most Valuable Player (MVP) on the winning team receives an extra point, resulting in 16 JP for top performers.

Races offers a tiered JP reward system that reflects your finishing position:

JP rewards decrease incrementally by 1 for each subsequent position, all the way to the last player.

Note: leaving or changing the session will reset your Job Points as it is session-specific and doesn't carry over between different gameplay sessions.
