How EMEA Works in Valorant
EMEA operates as one of three major international leagues within the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) system. The VCT divides global competition into three international regions, Americas, EMEA, and Pacific, instead of the 7 regions format used in previous years, with each region running its own International League that serves as the primary pathway to Masters and Champions tournaments.
Teams compete on LAN in centralized locations throughout the season. The league features partnered organizations that have secured long-term spots in the competition, along with teams that earn promotion through the Ascension tournament system.
The competitive structure runs in stages throughout the year. VCT EMEA operates with Stage 1 and Stage 2 tournaments, each featuring 12 teams competing for prize pools. Teams accumulate Championship Points based on their performance in regular season matches and playoffs, with the top three teams from each stage qualifying for Masters tournaments.
EMEA's relationship with the broader VCT ecosystem means that successful teams advance to international competition against the best squads from Americas and Pacific regions.
