How Name Bases Work in Clash of Clans?
Walls in Clash of Clans have a defensive function, but players have found a creative use for them that goes beyond defense. Since walls are placed individually on a grid, they can be arranged to form letters, names, or words when the village is viewed from above. This kind of layout is known as a name base, turning the village into a form of personal expression.
Each letter is mapped out cell by cell across the grid, so the final result looks like text written directly into the base. This style works across all Town Hall levels, and players often use it to display their real name, a username, a word, or even short phrases. Getting the spacing and proportions right requires a solid understanding of how the Clash of Clans grid works since letters that look clean at one size can become unreadable if the wall count or layout is off.
