Arma Games
Arma is Bohemia Interactive's military simulation series, built around realism and scale. Ballistics, weather, fatigue, and vehicle handling are modelled in detail, the maps are huge, and the best moments come from planning an operation with other players and watching it work, or fall apart. The series grew out of Operation Flashpoint, which Bohemia released in 2001, and its main games are Arma: Armed Assault (2006), Arma 2 (2009), Arma 3 (2013), and the standalone Arma Reforger (2022). Bohemia has said Arma 4 is in development, and Reforger is the testing ground for its engine.
Arma Reforger
Arma Reforger is the newest game in the series, built on Bohemia's new Enfusion engine. It's set in the late Cold War, with US and Soviet forces fighting over islands including Everon and Arland, and it went into early access in May 2022 and released fully in November 2023. It now has a single-player campaign alongside its large-scale multiplayer modes, and it has sold over two million copies. GameBoost carries the Standard and Deluxe editions for PC.
Arma 3
Arma 3, released in 2013, is the game most players mean when they say "Arma." It's set in the near future and is a huge sandbox of weapons, vehicles, and terrain, with a modding community that has kept it active for over a decade. GameBoost carries the base game and several editions, including Gold, Platinum, Special, Contact, Apex, and Anniversary, along with the Ultimate Edition, which bundles the game with much of its DLC.
Arma 3 Expansions and DLC
Arma 3 has two full expansions. Apex (2016) adds the tropical island of Tanoa and a co-op campaign, and Contact (2019) is a military sci-fi expansion set in Livonia, with a new campaign about first contact with an alien presence. Smaller DLC adds content in themed packs: Helicopters, Jets, Tanks, Marksmen, and Laws of War add vehicles and equipment, Karts adds a racing mode, and the Tac-Ops Mission Pack adds missions. Expeditionary Forces, a Creator DLC released in November 2024, adds an amphibious warfare ship and Marine assault vehicles. GameBoost also carries the Arma 3 DLC Bundle.
Arma 2 and the Earlier Games
Arma 2 (2009) is set in the fictional post-Soviet country of Chernarus, and its standalone expansion, Operation Arrowhead, moves to the desert nation of Takistan. Arma 2: Combined Operations and the Complete Collection bundle the two, with the British Armed Forces, Private Military Company, and Army of the Czech Republic DLC. Arma: Cold War Assault is the series' roots: Bohemia's original Operation Flashpoint, set in 1985, re-released under the Arma name. GameBoost also carries the Arma Gold Edition, ARMA X: Anniversary Edition, and Arma Tactics, a turn-based tactics spin-off.
