Dying Light Games
Dying Light is Techland's open-world zombie survival series, built around first-person parkour and a day-night cycle that flips the balance of power. By day you scavenge, complete quests, and run across rooftops through a city overrun by the infected. At night the stronger Volatiles come out and the safest option is to run, hide, or reach a safe zone. The series started in 2015 and now has three mainline games, a standalone multiplayer spin-off, and several expanded editions. The mainline games can be played solo or with friends in co-op, and once you've worked through them, our list of games like Dying Light has more to play next.
Dying Light (2015)
The original is set in the quarantined city of Harran, where undercover agent Kyle Crane is sent to recover a stolen file and ends up fighting to protect the survivors. Combat is brutal melee built around crafted weapons, and parkour is how you travel and escape. GameBoost carries the game in several forms: the standard game, including the uncut version, and the Essentials, Platinum, and Definitive editions, which add The Following and other content in different amounts. The Definitive Edition is also sold as the 10th Anniversary Edition. Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition is a complete package of the base game and its large expansion, which adds a countryside map and a drivable buggy.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human
Released in February 2022, Dying Light 2 is set roughly twenty years later in Villedor, one of the last major cities. You play as Aiden Caldwell, a pilgrim searching for his sister, in a more fluid, vertical take on parkour that puts a heavy focus on choice. Your decisions determine which factions control which districts and how the city changes around you. GameBoost carries the Standard, Deluxe, Reloaded, and Extras editions across Steam and Xbox.
Dying Light: The Beast and Restored Land
Released in September 2025, Dying Light: The Beast brings Kyle Crane back, now with beast-like powers, and moves the story to the Castor Woods region. It started as planned DLC for Dying Light 2 but was released as a standalone game, so you don't need to have played anything else to jump in. In March 2026, the Restored Land update changed the game with permanent consequences: infected you kill stay dead, so you can clear regions for good, and resources are limited. It arrived as a free update for owners, and the Restored Land Definitive Edition adds Deluxe content and four extra packs. GameBoost carries the Standard, Deluxe, and Restored Land Definitive editions, including the Dying Light: The Beast Steam key.
Dying Light: Bad Blood
Dying Light: Bad Blood is a standalone competitive multiplayer spin-off set in the Dying Light world. It has no story campaign, and it's built around matches against other players.

Dying Light Games FAQs
Dying Light 2 Stay Human and Dying Light: The Beast are the most modern and polished, and each works as a starting point. If you'd like the full story from the beginning, start with the original Dying Light and its Following expansion.
Release order is Dying Light (2015), Dying Light 2 Stay Human (2022), then Dying Light: The Beast (2025). The Beast follows Kyle Crane from the first game, so the original adds context, but each game stands on its own.
It's a full, standalone game. It was originally planned as DLC for Dying Light 2, but Techland released it as its own game, so you don't need Dying Light 2 to play it.
Restored Land is a major update for Dying Light: The Beast, released in March 2026, that adds a permanent-consequences mode. Killed infected don't respawn, so regions can be cleared for good, and resources are limited. The Restored Land Definitive Edition includes everything in the Deluxe Edition plus four extra content packs.
The Standard edition is the base game. The Following – Enhanced Edition adds the large expansion, and the Essentials, Platinum, and Definitive editions bundle in other content in different amounts. Check each listing for exactly what it includes before buying.
Yes, the mainline games support co-op play with friends, letting you tackle missions and explore together. Dying Light: Bad Blood is a competitive multiplayer game instead.
This depends on the specific key. Region details are listed clearly on each product page, so be sure to check the activation region before purchasing to confirm it works in your country.
