Developed and published by The Fun Pimps, 7 Days to Die is an open-world zombie survival game that fully released on July 25, 2024, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, following over a decade in Steam Early Access. Players spawn into a post-apocalyptic world and must survive by scavenging resources, constructing fortified bases, crafting weapons and gear, and managing hunger, thirst, and health across a hostile environment.

The game's defining mechanic is the Blood Moon, a massive zombie horde that descends on the player's position every seventh night. The horde grows in size and aggression with each cycle, forcing players to continually improve their defenses, stockpile supplies, and upgrade their base between events. The rest of the week is spent looting towns and cities, mining underground for materials, farming, and crafting the equipment needed to survive the next horde.

Players choose between Navezgane, a large hand-crafted map set in a post-apocalyptic Arizona, and randomly generated worlds that produce a different layout and resource distribution each playthrough. A deep RPG progression system covers five attributes divided into perks, with players allocating points across Strength, Fortitude, Agility, Intelligence, and Perception as they level up. Each attribute opens up distinct playstyle options ranging from melee brawler to stealth archer to scientist and engineer.

The game supports online co-op and PvP multiplayer for up to eight players, with dedicated server support available for larger communities. 7 Days to Die holds a Very Positive overall Steam rating across over 270,000 reviews. 7 Days to Die is not currently available on Xbox Game Pass.
