The Orion Reforged camo sits at the very end of the Multiplayer camo grind in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. To earn it, you need 5 kills without dying, 500 times, and that only starts once two other MW4 mastery camos are done. Searching for the MW4 Orion camo? The Road to the Orion Reforged Camo
Orion Reforged is Mastery 3 in Multiplayer, so it opens only after Mastery 1 and Mastery 2. Activision's MW4 progression and prestige guide lays out the order and every requirement.

Mastery camos are game mode specific. DMZ has its own three (Chiral, Ripple Tide and Helio), and Warzone's set stays classified until Season 1. DMZ play won't move your Orion count.
How Do You Get 5 Kills Without Dying 500 Times?
You get there by playing for survival on every life, since one death resets the five-kill count. Activision's guide lists the requirement as kills, without naming modes. Test your usual Multiplayer playlist early and watch the counter.
Cheap deaths are the real enemy. Spawn flips, flanks on small maps, and grenade spam all end runs, so I'd lean on mid-size maps over nonstop chaos. Need a rhythm? Take two kills, reset to cover, then hunt the last three.
Objective modes can help too. The launch patch notes say objective actions, such as capturing a point in Domination, now add to your Killstreak meter, so a careful player still earns streaks without forcing fights. Whether killstreak kills count toward Orion Reforged isn't stated. Check your challenge progress after a match before building around them.
Polyatomic Reforged trains the same habit. Three kills without taking damage forces you to pick fights from cover and pre-aim common lanes. I'd expect that habit to carry straight into Orion streaks.
Best Guns and Perks for the Orion Grind
Mid-range assault rifles are the safest pick for streaks. The M4 has forgiving recoil and holds up across most lanes, which matters more here than raw time to kill.
The ISO Nightshade suits small maps, and the launch patch notes say SMGs now handle close to mid-range fights better. It rewards aggression, though, and aggression costs lives on this challenge. Pick the gun you already die least with.
For perks, start with the High Alert and Battle Hardened pair in our ISO build. The patch notes say Battle Hardened now does a better job of negating most tactical grenade effects, Flash and Concussion included, which saves runs in crowded lanes. How Long Does the Orion Reforged Camo Take?
Orion Reforged alone takes at least 2,500 kills, spread across 500 clean streaks. Nobody outside the studio has playtime numbers yet.
Add Mercurial Drift and Polyatomic Reforged, and the three Multiplayer Mastery challenges total at least 5,900 kills. That count sits on top of 33 Harmonic Break challenges, and Harmonic Break itself needs Platinum and Gold first.
