Description
It started as a whisper in the trees, a rippling swish in the water. Then the earth started to rumble with a deep moan, turning into a raging tremor. The evil within the fog was losing motivation, chasing and killing endlessly in the same form. Did the Entity hear their plea? Were they rewarded because of the countless sacrifices they fed the Entity? No one knows for sure how and why it appeared but it isn’t farfetched to think of it as a token of gratitude: a shapeless thing, soaked in blood, holding unholy gifts for the creatures of nightmares.
The Bloodstained Sack will allow you to pick up your favourite killing outfit before you start your next chase. This pack includes 8 new outfits for the Killers:
- The “Iron Man” mask for the Trapper: Thick iron plating strapped and bolted to form Evan's grim self-representation.
- The “Rogi” mask for the Trapper: An iron mask masterfully fashioned and painted to resemble a deer. Item created by Dmitry "DeeDoubleU" Shpilevoy.
- The “Swift Strikes” head paint and cloak for the Wraith: The Kuntin-Wehye symbol, representing rapid and deadly aggressions, is finger-drawn in white paint.
- The “Owl” head paint and cloak for the Wraith: The Ug-Wufo symbol, representing a flying hunter of the night, is finger-drawn in white paint.
- The “Scarecrow” outfit for the Hillbilly: When you have nothing else but the family's scarecrow's clothes to put on.

Each match places one player as the Killer and up to four players as Survivors on a procedurally generated map. Survivors must repair five generators scattered across the map to power the exit gates and escape before being caught. The Killer must find, down, and hook each Survivor for sacrifice to the Entity, the ancient force that governs the realm where all matches take place.
Each Killer has a distinct power that defines how they hunt. The Trapper lays bear traps across the map. The Nurse phases through obstacles and teleports short distances. The Hillbilly uses a chainsaw for rapid traversal and instant downs on contact. Each Survivor carries a unique personal perk alongside a loadout system that lets players build custom perk sets from those unlocked across the full roster.
The game's roster has grown continuously through regular Chapter releases, each typically adding a new Killer, a new Survivor, and sometimes a new map. Licensed chapters have introduced characters from franchises including Halloween, Resident Evil, Stranger Things, Silent Hill, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Alien, and many others. The base game includes the original roster of Killers and Survivors. All post-launch and licensed characters are available through individual DLC purchases.

Each match is a 4v1 session on a procedurally generated map. Four Survivors must repair five generators to unlock the exit gates and escape. One Killer must track down each Survivor, wound them, pick them up, and hang them on a hook for the Entity to claim. Survivors who are hooked three times are eliminated. A match ends when all Survivors either escape or are eliminated.
