About Elite Dangerous: Deluxe Edition
Elite Dangerous: Deluxe Edition bundles the base game with Elite Dangerous: Odyssey. Odyssey was released in 2021 as the game's most significant expansion since launch, adding on-foot first-person gameplay for the first time in the series.
Odyssey lets players step out of their ships and explore planetary surfaces directly on foot, adding a new layer to the game's exploration, combat, and mission systems beyond piloting alone. Players can visit new settlements, engage in ground combat, and interact with the game's persistent, connected universe from a fully realized first-person perspective, expanding on the ship-focused gameplay that defines the base experience.

Odyssey adds full on-foot first-person gameplay, letting players leave their ships to explore planetary surfaces, visit settlements, and engage in ground combat, expanding the game's core loop beyond piloting and space-based activities.
There's no offline mode since the game is always online, but most content, including everything in Odyssey, is fully playable solo within the connected universe.
