Traverse Fahrul solo or with up-to three friends in four-player co-op. As a solo player you can control all characters in your party, giving you complete ownership of the campaign map and combat strategy whilst in four-player co-op you must coordinate and negotiate with your party members. Play online multiplayer with your friends controlling your own character(s) or play offline co-op on the same PC. Offline co-op supports multiple controllers; each controller will have input control on everyone’s turn.
Inspired by turn-based classics, For The King II adds strategic depth to much-loved combat mechanics with the new Battle Grid, where movement and position provide you and your enemies with strategic buffs and penalties. For The King II is a turn-based roguelite RPG that combines tabletop-inspired movement, dice-based encounters, tactical combat, and procedurally generated adventures. It continues the story of Fahrul as Queen Rosomon turns against her people and forces them into servitude while forming alliances with dangerous powers.
Players gather a party and travel across the kingdom to challenge the queen’s rule. The campaign includes seven connected adventures with more than 30 hours of gameplay, taking the group through different regions, objectives, battles, and narrative events.
Procedural generation ensures that maps, encounters, rewards, and dangers can change between playthroughs. Dice-inspired systems influence travel and combat, creating unexpected successes, failures, and difficult decisions throughout each journey.
Defeat does not erase all progress. Failed parties return with additional knowledge and stronger starting options, including better items that can be drafted into future loadouts. This gives each attempt a chance to begin with more preparation.
The new Battle Grid adds greater importance to positioning. Front and back rows can provide different advantages, while shields, environmental hazards, movement skills, and magical effects give players more ways to protect allies or disrupt enemies.
