About Forza Horizon 6

Developed by Playground Games and published by Xbox Game Studios, Forza Horizon 6 released on May 19, 2026 for Xbox Series X|S and PC. It is an Xbox Play Anywhere title, so a single Xbox Live key unlocks the game on both your console and your PC. The series takes the Horizon Festival to Japan for the first time, dropping players into a dense, vertical open world that stretches from Tokyo City, the largest urban area ever featured in a Forza Horizon game, to mountain passes, rural roads, docks, industrial districts, and snowy alpine regions. More than 550 real-world cars are available to collect, including JDM favourites, Forza Edition cars, and aftermarket models.

This time the campaign puts more focus on progression. You arrive in Japan as a tourist rather than an established star, qualify through the Horizon Invitational, earn Wristbands, and work toward Horizon Legend status and access to Legend Island. Along the way you can take on Touge Battles, join Car Meets, race through festival events solo or in co-op, and build up your Collection Journal as you move from slower cars to faster, more specialised machines. Players can also buy homes in Japan with fully customisable garages, while EventLab, Horizon CoLab, and The Estate let you build custom events and player-made spaces. On PC, the game supports ray-traced reflections and global illumination, 4K HDR, uncapped framerates, and ultrawide resolutions, and accessibility options include High Contrast Mode, Car Proximity Radar, and AutoDrive.

Forza Horizon 6 Standard Edition is included with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, so subscribers can play it at no additional cost. Buying a key gives you permanent ownership, which keeps the game in your library even if you later leave Game Pass. If you don't have a Game Pass subscription, GameBoost offers Xbox Game Pass gift cards as an alternative way to get started.
