About Geometry Dash

Players control a small icon navigating through levels filled with spikes, platforms, and moving obstacles. Every element in each level is synchronized to an electronic music track, and obstacles are placed to align with the beat. The core input during auto-scrolling levels is a single tap or click to jump, but the timing required is exact. A single collision with any obstacle sends the player back to the beginning of the level.

Several gameplay forms appear throughout the game, each with different mechanics. The Cube jumps on each input, the Ship flies up and down continuously, the Ball rolls and flips gravity, the UFO hops in short bursts, the Wave moves diagonally, the Robot jumps with variable height, the Spider teleports between surfaces, and the Swing pivots on an arc. Portals placed within levels change the active form, movement speed, and gravity as players pass through them.

The game includes 26 official levels across a wide range of difficulties, from approachable early stages to Demon-rated levels that require hundreds or thousands of attempts to complete. A full level editor lets players create and publish their own levels using the same tools used for the official content. The community has produced over 100 million uploaded levels to date.

Update 2.2, released on December 19, 2023, added four platformer levels with free movement, the Swing form, new visual triggers, camera controls, and a significant range of new customization content. Geometry Dash holds a Very Positive rating on Steam.
