About GreedFall
Developed by Spiders and published by Focus Home Interactive, GreedFall drops players onto a remote island alongside settlers, mercenaries, and treasure hunters, all drawn by rumours of riches and lost secrets hidden beneath its surface. The game's visual identity is inspired by Baroque art from 17th-century Europe, built around grandiose scenery, muted warm colours, and dark undertones that give the world a distinct, painterly look. As tensions rise between the invading settlers and the island's native population, protected by supernatural beings tied to the land's own earthly magic, players are pulled into a grand journey filled with mystery, faction politics, and difficult choices.
True to Spiders' experience building intricate, reactive worlds, GreedFall puts its RPG identity front and centre. Quests and objectives can be tackled in a multitude of ways, through direct combat, diplomacy, deception, or stealth, and the world reacts to how you play, letting you befriend or betray companions and entire factions as you go. Character progression is fully open: players choose to play as male or female, customise their appearance, and freely build out abilities, spells, and skills to match their preferred approach. The result is a world you genuinely help shape, where your influence over the island's fate is felt in how the story eventually plays out.
