Halo Infinite is a first-person shooter developed by 343 Industries and published by Xbox Game Studios, built on the studio's new Slipspace Engine. The campaign was released on December 8, 2021, for Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, following a free multiplayer open beta that launched on November 15, 2021, coinciding with the franchise's 20th anniversary. It is the sixth mainline Halo game and the third chapter in the Reclaimer Saga.

Set eighteen months after the events of Halo 5: Guardians, the story follows Master Chief crash-landing aboard a UNSC vessel near Zeta Halo, also known as Installation 07, which has been seized by the Banished, a formidable mercenary organization led by the Brute war chief Escharum. Master Chief awakens with a new AI companion named The Weapon and must fight across the ring to stop the Banished while uncovering what happened to Cortana and the rest of the UNSC Infinity's crew.

Unlike previous Halo campaigns built around linear mission structures, Halo Infinite adopts a semi-open world design for Zeta Halo. Players can explore the ring between objectives, capturing FOBs to unlock fast travel and reinforcements, rescuing UNSC Marines, hunting down High Value Targets, and finding scattered audio logs that flesh out the ring's history and the events preceding the game's story. New equipment includes the Grappleshot, which serves both as a traversal tool and as a way to grab weapons and objects mid-combat, alongside the Threat Sensor, Drop Wall, and Thruster.

A Forge map editor was added in November 2022 as a free post-launch update, alongside campaign co-op for up to four players. Halo Infinite is an Xbox Play Anywhere title, covering both Xbox and Windows PC in a single purchase, with shared progression and saves across platforms through a linked Microsoft account.

Halo Infinite holds a Metacritic score of 80 and is available on Xbox Game Pass for both PC and console. If you are already a subscriber, you can access the campaign directly through your membership.
