Kenshi is an open-world sandbox RPG developed and published by Lo-Fi Games. It drops players into a harsh, dangerous world with almost no hand-holding, then lets them decide what kind of life they want to build. You can become a trader, thief, mercenary, warlord, farmer, explorer, slave, rebel, bounty hunter, or something much stranger.

Unlike many RPGs, Kenshi does not revolve around one chosen hero or a fixed main quest. Your characters are ordinary people trying to survive in a world full of hostile factions, bandits, slavers, strange creatures, brutal deserts, and political conflict. You can recruit squad members, train skills, buy equipment, lose fights, get captured, escape, recover, and slowly grow stronger through experience.

The game combines RPG progression with real-time strategy and base-building systems. You can manage a small group of wanderers or build a larger settlement with walls, farms, workshops, defenses, storage, and production chains. Your base can become a haven, a trading hub, a military outpost, or a target for raids if nearby factions decide you are worth attacking.
