The concept is brilliantly simple. You and up to two friends are working the late-night shift at a rural gas station in 1993. Customers come in. Some are human. Some are not. Your job is to figure out which ones before they leave — interrogating each visitor with up to five questions, checking their ID, cross-referencing their details on the computer, and observing their behaviour for inconsistencies. If you correctly identify a doppelganger you can execute them on the spot — just make sure to clean up after. If you miss one, they walk out the door and return later as something genuinely terrifying, forcing the entire team to shift from customer service to survival — barricading doors, setting traps, and hiding while a creature that used to look human hunts you through the aisles.
The gas station management layer — stocking shelves, taking deliveries, keeping the store clean, meeting the nightly quota — never stops, even as the horror escalates. Every shift is randomly generated across 13 story missions, ensuring no two nights play out identically. Endless Mode is available in beta at launch with a major free content update planned for Q4 2026 adding new customers, weapons, traps, and monsters.
