About Total War: WARHAMMER III – Thrones of Decay

Total War: WARHAMMER III – Thrones of Decay is a DLC pack that introduces new content for Nurgle, the Empire, and the Dwarfs. It adds three Legendary Lords with their own campaign mechanics, objectives, heroes, units, and approaches to conquest.

Tamurkhan the Maggot Lord leads the forces of Nurgle as a powerful warlord seeking to unite influential Chieftains from across the known world. His campaign focuses on gathering followers, expanding his authority, and becoming the ultimate Warlord of Nurgle.

Elspeth von Draken strengthens the Empire through a combination of magic and gunpowder. Working with Nuln’s Imperial Gunnery School, she gains access to advanced weapons, military innovations, and campaign systems built around developing the Empire’s destructive firepower.

Malakai Makaisson brings an inventive and reckless style to the Dwarfs. His campaign rewards dangerous expeditions, technological experiments, and the pursuit of a glorious death while testing powerful new machines and battlefield innovations.

Each Legendary Lord can be used in both the Realm of Chaos and Immortal Empires campaigns. Their Realm of Chaos objectives are separate from the Ursun storyline, giving each faction a distinct route toward securing the Nemesis Crown.

The DLC also introduces three Legendary Heroes who support the new Lords and their respective races. Additional Lords and Heroes provide further leadership options for campaign armies and battlefield forces.

Fifteen new units expand the rosters of Nurgle, the Empire, and the Dwarfs. These additions provide new tactical roles, from heavily armed infantry and ranged troops to monstrous creatures and specialized machines.

Nine Regiments of Renown offer elite variations of selected units with improved abilities and unique battlefield roles. These troops can strengthen established armies or provide specialized answers to difficult opponents.

Thrones of Decay is a strong choice for players who enjoy Nurgle, Empire, or Dwarf campaigns and want new leaders, mechanics, heroes, units, and objectives for both Realm of Chaos and Immortal Empires.
