About DREDGE
DREDGE is a single-player fishing adventure developed by Black Salt Games and published by Team17. At first, it looks like a quiet game about sailing, catching fish, upgrading your boat, and helping island communities. But the deeper you go, the stranger the waters become.
Players take control of a fishing boat and explore a collection of remote islands, each with its own fish, secrets, characters, dangers, and unsettling atmosphere. During the day, you can catch fish, complete requests, sell your haul, upgrade your vessel, and search for useful materials. At night, the sea becomes much more dangerous.
The game mixes relaxing fishing systems with psychological horror. Strange lights, unnatural creatures, mysterious relics, and disturbing events slowly reveal that something is wrong beneath the surface. Managing your panic, watching the time, and deciding when to risk another trip are all part of the tension.
Progression comes through upgrading your boat, improving your equipment, unlocking new fishing methods, and reaching areas that were previously too dangerous or too difficult to explore.
