MM2 Chromas for Sale on GameBoost
Chromas are the colour shifting versions of Godly weapons in Murder Mystery 2. Instead of holding one fixed colour, the blade or barrel cycles continuously through the spectrum, which is why they get called rainbow weapons by most of the community. The effect is purely cosmetic and gives no advantage in a round, but it is easily the most recognisable status marker in the game.
The MM2 chromas for sale on this page span a genuinely enormous range, from Chroma Heat at a few dollars up to Chroma Traveler's Gun in the four figure bracket. That gap exists because Chroma value has almost nothing to do with the Chroma label itself and everything to do with which Godly it is attached to.
What Is a Chroma in MM2?
A Chroma is a variant of an existing Godly weapon, not a separate rarity tier of its own. Every Chroma has a normal Godly counterpart, so Chroma Heat is the animated version of Heat, and Chroma Evergreen is the animated version of Evergreen.
Two things are worth knowing before you browse MM2 Chromas:
Not every Godly has a Chroma version. Only certain weapons ever received the treatment, so if a Godly you like has no Chroma listed anywhere, it likely does not exist.
You cannot upgrade a normal weapon into a Chroma. There is no in game path that converts a Godly you already own into its Chroma counterpart. They are separate items entirely.
Chromas also cannot be salvaged at the crafting station, so unlike most weapons they cannot be broken down for shards.
How to Get Chromas in MM2
There are only three routes, and two of them are impractical for most players.
Unboxing is where Chromas originally entered the game. Weapon crates carry a small chance of dropping the Chroma version of the Godly inside them, and during Season 1 every crate included an unboxable Chroma variant. The odds are the problem. A standard Godly pulls at roughly 0.2% from a box, and the Chroma sits far below that. The developers have never published the actual Chroma rate, so anyone quoting an exact percentage is estimating rather than citing a real figure.
Crafting works for exactly one weapon in the entire game, covered in the next section.
Trading is how nearly every Chroma actually changes hands, and buying MM2 chromas for sale is the same route without needing to find someone holding the exact piece you want and willing to part with it.
How Do You Make Chromas in MM2?
Only one Chroma in the game can be crafted: the Chroma Seer. Every other Chroma has to be unboxed or traded for.
The recipe is the Random Painted Seers craft, which needs 10 Godly Shards and 10 Godly Metal. That sounds simple until you look at where those materials come from. Godly Shards come from salvaging any Godly weapon, but Godly Metal only comes from salvaging Seers specifically, which means destroying at least ten Seers before you can even attempt the craft.
Then comes the real catch. The recipe produces a random Painted Seer, and Chroma Seer is only one possible outcome among several. You are far more likely to end up with a Pink, Gold or Blue Painted Seer instead. Ten salvaged Seers buys you a roll, not a result.
For most players that math never works out, which is exactly why the MM2 chromas for sale market exists in the first place.
What You Can Buy in This Category
The Chroma listings here cover the full spectrum of the market:
Entry level Chromas such as Chroma Heat, generally between three and five dollars
Mid range Chromas like Chroma Ornament, Chroma Icecream and Chroma Sands, running from the fifty to one hundred fifty dollar bracket
Top tier Chromas including Chroma Evergreen and Chroma Evergun, sitting in the one to two thousand dollar range
Chroma sets such as the Chroma Evergreen Set, which bundles the knife and gun together
Chroma Traveler's Gun, currently the most valuable tradeable weapon in Murder Mystery 2
That spread means the category works for two completely different buyers. A first Chroma is genuinely affordable, while the upper end is where serious collectors spend.
Where Chromas Sit Alongside Other MM2 Items
Chromas belong to the Godly tier despite outvaluing most of it, which is the single most confusing thing about MM2 rarity. Ancient weapons technically rank higher on the ladder, yet a top Chroma trades far above nearly every Ancient in the game. The Unique tier sits above both, but almost everything in it was awarded rather than traded, so it barely circulates.
You can browse Chromas by weapon type through the MM2 knives and MM2 guns categories, or compare against the standard Legendary tier to see where the price jump actually starts.

MM2 Chroma FAQ
A Chroma is a colour shifting variant of a Godly weapon in Murder Mystery 2. The weapon cycles through rainbow colours instead of holding one fixed shade. The effect is cosmetic only and does not change how the weapon performs in a round.
There are three ways to get Chromas in MM2: unboxing them from weapon crates at very low odds, crafting the Chroma Seer specifically, or trading with other players. Trading is by far the most reliable route, since unboxing odds are extremely poor and only one Chroma can be crafted at all.
Only the Chroma Seer can be made through crafting. It uses the Random Painted Seers recipe, which requires 10 Godly Shards and 10 Godly Metal, and the metal can only be obtained by salvaging Seers. Even then the recipe gives a random Painted Seer, so Chroma Seer is only one of several possible results.
No, you cannot turn a Godly into a Chroma. There is no upgrade path between them. A Chroma and its normal Godly counterpart are separate items, and owning one does not help you get the other.
Chromas sit inside the Godly tier, which technically ranks below Ancient. In practice the top Chromas trade far above almost every Ancient in the game, so tier position and market value point in opposite directions here.
