Vintage Rarity in Murder Mystery 2
MM2 Vintage weapons, previously called Classic Weapons, are the only items in Murder Mystery 2 that didn't originate in this game at all. They were carried over from the original Murder Mystery, the game's predecessor, and every one of them can now only be obtained through trading.
There are exactly 10 Vintage weapons, split into two internal tiers:
Tier 1: Cowboy, Splitter, Ghost, Laser, Shadow, and Prince
Tier 2: Phaser, Blood, Golden, and America
A few things set Vintage apart from every other rarity:
Unlike Godly weapons, Vintage items can't be salvaged for shards
Unlike Ancient or Unique weapons, they never came from an event or leaderboard
They came from a game that no longer exists in its original form, Murder Mystery 1
Each MM2 Vintage Weapon
Cowboy – a gun originally sold in the Murder Mystery 1 shop, now one of the cheaper Vintage items.
Splitter – a dagger-shaped knife originally 800 Points or 5 Cash, modeled on the Roblox item Crimson Double Threat.
Ghost – a small, spearhead-bladed knife, originally 1,200 Points or 20 Cash, known for a since-patched movement bug that made it briefly popular.
Laser – a gun from the original MM1 shop, one of the ten confirmed pieces in the set.
Shadow – a Tier 1 knife carried over from Murder Mystery 1.
Prince – a knife originally 2,000 Points or 40 Cash, modeled on the Roblox gear Dagger of Shattered Dimensions.
Phaser – the largest gun in the game, originally 2,000 Points or 40 Cash, once known for a unique shooting sound.
Blood – a red-bladed knife originally 4,000 Points or 175 Cash, modeled on Korblox: Berserker's Claymore.
Golden – a Tier 2 gun sharing its base model with America.
America – a limited-run gun sold for 25 Cash during a specific July 4-6, 2014 window in Murder Mystery 1.
Why Buy MM2 Vintage Weapons
Vintage weapons carry a strange status: permanently discontinued, but low in demand compared to Chroma or top Ancient pieces. That makes them easy to overlook and genuinely hard to track down in an active trade, since most players aren't holding onto ten-year-old MM1 leftovers.
Buying MM2 vintage weapons directly skips that search. You get the specific piece, or the full set, without waiting on someone willing to part with theirs.
