MM2 Corrupt Knife for Sale on GameBoost
Corrupt is the most historically significant knife in Murder Mystery 2, and the story behind it is the reason collectors still chase it more than a decade later.
On 29 December 2014, a scripting error wiped the entire inventories of a small group of players. As an apology, game creator Nikilis handed each of them a knife nobody else had. That knife was Corrupt, and it became the first item in the game to carry the Unique rarity, a tier that was originally labelled "Reward" before being renamed later.
Its place in the game is permanent in a very literal sense. The statue of Nikilis standing on the water fountain in the main lobby is holding a Corrupt.

How Rare Is the Corrupt Knife in MM2?
This depends entirely on which point in the game's history you are asking about, and it is the most misunderstood thing about this knife.
Before 2017, Corrupt was the second rarest knife in the entire game, sitting behind only Nik's Scythe. Only the handful of players compensated in 2014 had one.
Then came the Duping Glitch of 2017. Corrupt was the single biggest target for dupers, and thousands of copies flooded into the game. Its value collapsed and never returned to where it had been. Nikilis responded by temporarily shutting down trading altogether and banning players who exploited it.
There is an unusual safeguard still in place today: owning 20 or more Corrupts triggers an automatic account ban. That hard cap stops anyone from hoarding the supply, and it is a large part of why the value stabilised and slowly recovered instead of collapsing further.
Today Corrupt carries a modest demand rating of around 3 out of 10, and value trackers disagree with each other considerably on what it is actually worth. What has not changed is its status. It remains the only tradeable Unique weapon in Murder Mystery 2. Every other Unique item was awarded to top 100 leaderboard finishers and is locked to that account permanently, which is why Corrupt is the only piece of that tier you will ever see on a marketplace.

How to Get the Corrupt Knife in MM2
Trading is the only route. The MM2 Corrupt knife has no crate, no code, no event and no crafting recipe attached to it. The data loss compensation that created it happened once, in 2014, and was never repeated.
That leaves two practical options: find a player who owns one and is willing to part with it, or buy one directly. The first usually means working through trading servers and assembling an offer strong enough to tempt an owner, and single high value items tend to move an owner more than a stack of smaller pieces.
One practical thing worth knowing before you buy: there is a long standing quirk where the Corrupt does not appear in your inventory straight away after you receive it. Resetting your character makes it show up. The same applies when trading one away, so do not panic if it seems missing for a moment after the trade confirms.

What Is in the Corrupt Set?
The Corrupt Set pairs the MM2 Corrupt knife with Luger, a Godly gun originally unboxable from Gun Box 1.
It is an unusual pairing, since Luger on its own is one of the more affordable Godly guns in the game while Corrupt sits in a tier of its own. Buying the pair together saves sourcing the second half separately, though it is worth comparing the set price against buying each piece individually, since the two halves sit at very different price points.

Where Corrupt Sits Alongside Other MM2 Items
Corrupt is unusual because its tier and its price point pull in opposite directions. It sits in the highest rarity in the game, yet plenty of Chroma weapons inside the Godly tier trade far above it, and several Ancient event pieces do too. What you are buying with a Corrupt is provenance rather than raw market value, it is a piece of the game's history that no future event can recreate.
You can browse the full murderer side loadout through the MM2 knives category, or see the rest of the highest tier in Unique, though almost everything there is untradeable.

MM2 Corrupt Knife FAQ
Trading is the only way to get the Corrupt knife in MM2. It was handed out once in 2014 to players who lost their inventories to a data loss glitch, and it has never been available through any crate, code, event or crafting recipe since.
Corrupt was the second rarest knife in the game before 2017, behind only Nik's Scythe. The Duping Glitch of 2017 flooded thousands of copies into circulation and permanently reduced its rarity and value. It remains the only tradeable weapon in the Unique tier, so it is still far more exclusive than any standard Godly.
Luger, a Godly gun, pairs with Corrupt to form the Corrupt Set.
This is a known quirk with the Corrupt knife. Resetting your character after receiving it makes it appear, and the same applies when trading one away.
