About NBA 2K25
NBA 2K25 is a basketball simulation game developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K. It was released on September 6, 2024, for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. It is the twenty-sixth installment in the NBA 2K series, built on Unreal Engine 5, and the Steam version runs on the same next-gen feature set found on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The headline addition this year is ProPLAY, a new technology that captures real NBA game footage and translates it directly into in-game player animations, adding over 9,000 new movements covering dribbling, shooting, and defensive actions. MyCAREER returns as the game's career mode, with this year's update replacing the long-standing acceleration stat with a new agility stat and introducing a stamina system built around working out at Gatorade-branded training facilities.
