About Wobbly Life

Wobbly Life is an open-world physics sandbox game developed and published by RubberBandGames, an independent UK studio founded in 2020 by Thomas Dunn as the team's first title. The game entered Early Access on July 9, 2020, and reached its full 1.0 release on September 18, 2025, for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch, with the 1.0 update introducing a major Space expansion doubling the size of the game.

The premise opens with a graphic novel-style intro: Grandma has had enough of endless video game playing and kicks the player out of the house, demanding they go get a job and one day buy a place of their own. From there, players are free to explore Wobbly Island, a fully interactive open world where nearly every object can be grabbed, played with, or used in some silly way. Story missions send players uncovering the mysteries of the tropical island, its mountains, and hidden caves, while a separate treasure hunt system lets players buy maps and solve clues to recover artifacts stolen from the Wobbly Museum.

Over 20 jobs are available, ranging from pizza delivery and firefighting to taxi driving and disco dancing, each with its own unique mini-game and challenge. Earnings can be spent on more than 500 clothing items, over 90 different vehicles, pets from the Pet Shop, and housing ranging from a modest wooden cabin to a sprawling mansion. The 1.0 Space Update adds an entirely new open world beyond Wobbly Island, with the Wobbly Space Programme introducing new jobs, missions, secrets, and flyable spaceships.

Arcade Mode offers a separate set of customizable mini-game modes outside the main sandbox, including Trash Zone, Hide & Seek, Wobble Run, and a dedicated Sandbox mode. The game supports solo play or up to four players in online or local co-op, with the game surpassing two million copies sold before its full 1.0 release.
