Why PAX Sivir Is a Legacy Skin
PAX Sivir is one of the earliest event-exclusive skins in League of Legends, distributed through promotional codes at PAX Prime 2011, the last of the three original PAX skins after PAX Twisted Fate in 2009 and PAX Jax in 2010. Unlike standard skins, it was never sold in the store, which sharply limited how many players could get it. Because of that, it quickly became one of the most recognizable legacy cosmetics tied to League’s early years.
That exclusivity is why many players look to buy PAX Sivir accounts today. It represents a part of the game’s history that newer players never had access to, making it especially valuable for collectors who prioritize rarity over newer visuals.
Ways to Unlock PAX Sivir Today
Since the original codes expired back in 2014, there’s no direct way to unlock PAX Sivir through current gameplay systems. It doesn’t appear in the store, Hextech Crafting, or any event rotation, which rules out obtaining it through normal progression entirely.
Riot did release a separate remake in 2017 called Neo PAX Sivir, sold through the Mythic Essence shop. It’s a different skin entry with its own design, not a way to unlock the original, so it doesn’t change the rarity of true PAX Sivir accounts.
Because of that, players usually turn to listings featuring PAX Sivir accounts for sale to gain access. It’s the only practical way to secure a skin that’s been unavailable for years, without relying on outdated or nonexistent methods. For a wider look at what else these collector-era accounts carry, including the rest of the PAX line, LoL accounts with skins covers every rarity tier GameBoost lists.
