What Is Grey Warwick and How Is It Earned?
Grey Warwick released on July 8, 2010, as part of the Omen of the Dark skinline. It started out as a reward for Riot’s old Refer-A-Friend program, back when bringing in three friends who each reached Level 10 would unlock it. Once that program was retired, Riot moved the skin into the Honor system instead.
Today, any account that reaches Honor Level 5 for the first time gets Grey Warwick automatically, along with Medieval Twitch and their chromas. It’s never been sold through the regular store, so reaching Honor 5 through consistent good behavior, which can take weeks of steady play, is the only legitimate in-game path to it.
It sits alongside Urfwick as one of two Warwick skins with an unusual unlock method rather than a straightforward RP price: Urfwick costs 150,000 Blue Essence and only sells during the occasional Essence Emporium event, while Grey Warwick is tied entirely to Honor standing.
How Players Access Grey Warwick Today
Since Grey Warwick requires maintaining a clean Honor record over time, it isn’t something a player can rush or buy directly. An account that was previously penalized has to climb back up through good behavior before it even qualifies, and Honor Level 5 itself is paced to take real time to reach.
That’s why buying a Grey Warwick account that already has it appeals to players who’d rather skip the wait, or who don’t want to risk their current account’s Honor standing chasing it. These accounts are usually part of larger collections, so checking what else is included is worth doing. For the broader range of what these accounts carry, browse LoL accounts with skins, from rare legacy skins to heavily stacked accounts.
