Why Is UFO Corki So Rare?
UFO Corki released on January 1, 2010, part of the Invaders skinline, as a thank-you to players after League won awards from IGN and Gamespy in its first year. Riot didn’t require any purchase or code. Any account registered before January 14, 2010, got the skin automatically, along with the Corki champion itself as part of the same promotion.
That cutoff is what makes it so scarce. Anyone who joined even a day after January 14, 2010, never had a chance to get it, and the player base back then was a tiny fraction of what it is today. The skin itself swaps Corki’s helicopter model for a flying saucer, with new particle trails on his abilities, though the animations and sounds stayed the same.
UFO Corki sits alongside King Rammus and Rusty Blitzcrank as one of League’s earliest promotional skins, all tied to the game’s first year rather than a later convention or ranked season. Accounts carrying any of these are a clear sign of just how old the profile really is.
How Players Access UFO Corki Today
Since the January 2010 window closed, there’s no way to get UFO Corki through gameplay. It’s never been sold, and it isn’t loot eligible through Hextech Chests, Masterwork Chests, or any other randomized system. Riot has given no indication it will ever return.
That leaves buying an account that already has it as the only realistic path. UFO Corki accounts for sale often carry other early rarities too, including Silver Kayle and Black Alistar, since players who registered that early tended to stick around and keep collecting. For the full range of what these collector-grade accounts hold, browse LoL accounts with skins, from rare legacy skins to heavily stacked accounts.
